CooperOstlund, the UK’s leading provider of combined heat and power (CHP) installation, maintenance and improvement services, has further expanded its sales team with the appointment of Nigel Thompson as Business Development Manager.

Joining CooperOstlund from power generation equipment manufacturer Finning UK, Nigel brings experience from an illustrious career spanning sales, project management and engineering functions. In his new role, Nigel will be responsible for new client development across Lincolnshire, East Anglia and the Midlands.

His immediate priorities will be to lead day-to-day prospecting activities, as well as supporting the commercial team to meet ambitious sales growth targets.

Nigel commented: “As a market leader in the installation, maintenance and improvement of CHP engines, I was keen to join the CooperOstlund team. With an excellent reputation in the anaerobic digestion and biogas industries, I’m looking forward to growing our market share in biogas and developing natural gas opportunities, as well as supporting the company’s continued expansion into new market sectors.

Tim Broadhurst, Chief Commercial Officer at CooperOstlund, added: “With hands-on experience gained from a wealth of commercial roles at organisations including Finning and JCB Broadcrown, Nigel’s expertise will prove invaluable. We’re excited to welcome him to the team and are confident that his appointment will help to drive the business further forward.”
