CooperӦstlund announces maintenance agreement with water and wastewater services provider

CooperӦstlund has been awarded a framework agreement by one of the UK’s leading utility companies. The contract will comprise planned repair and maintenance services support for 29 combined heat and power (CHP) gas engines across 15 sites within their regions.

The agreement, which follows a rigorous tender and procurement process, will see CooperӦstlund work alongside in-house engineers to maintain a wide range of CHP gas engines, of varying sizes (190kW to 2MW), from different manufacturers.

The new framework, effective immediately, is CooperӦstlund’s second high-profile wastewater contract win in less than 12 months. In September 2018, the company was successful in its bid to another water company for the installation of open protocol control systems to CHP gas engines across 5 sites nationwide.

Tim Broadhurst, Chief Commercial Officer at CooperӦstlund, commented: “Signing the framework agreement to provide planned repair and maintenance support for this substantial portfolio fits nicely into our growth plans. It will also allow us to use our experience across a number of leading engine manufacturers to support one of the UK’s leading utility providers to deliver continued high levels of service to its customers. Unlike many other O&M providers, we have servicing expertise and access to spare parts across every major manufacturer.

We look forward to working in close partnership with this new client to maximise CHP uptime and ensure every engine continues to operate at maximum efficiency.”
